Afternoon Enrichments at SY
Available to all students, the goal of our enrichment classes is to have an afternoon of learning fun! Daily after lunch, students are grouped in age-appropriate levels to experience an afternoon of movement, experimentation and creativity.
ART
Wee Little Arts is a process-oriented approach to early childhood arts education that has been overwhelmingly successful in engaging and empowering children by helping them discover the creative process. The program teaches natural creativity through the use of mixed-media, drawing, painting and 3D dimensions all while learning about different artists.
SOCCER
Kiddie Soccer is a perfect way to introduce the game of soccer. This program combines elements of fun games and soccer skills creating a dynamic activity in a physical and fun environment.
CREATIVE ARCHITECTS: LEGO
LEGO has designed an Education Early Learning curriculum to inspire natural curiosity and encourage learning through play. Each week the children will be challenged with different learning tasks and objectives as they use critical thinking skills for STEM based building! This enrichment combines critical thinking as the children will be challenged to build unique structures as well as test them out while strengthening hand-eye coordination building confidence and teamwork. Let the fun begin!
CURIOUS EXPLORERS
Looking for gooey, volcanic and slimy fun? Science comes alive as children explore the fascinating world around them and take part in fun experiments that will awe them and put big smiles on their faces. Through hands-on fun, children explore basic scientific concepts.
